CEO Post: Kapitall Gets a “Geek-Preview” at MIT and the Wired Store
Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 12:06PM Recently Kapitall participated in a couple of great events.
In mid-November co-founder David Neubert and I presented at MIT’s Global Entrepreneurship Week. This event is all about engaging the next generation of entrepreneurs, so it was a perfect place for us to describe how we’re launching a new way for that same generation to invest. We took an audience of students, faculty and budding entrepreneurs through our experience building Kapitall. We’re really only just starting ourselves, but it was fun to be able to share what we’ve learned along the way.
Even cooler is our participation in the 5th annual Wired Store in New York City, where you can explore our groundbreaking investing interface on a giant touchscreen. At the opening, it was great to see so many people ooh-ing and ahh-ing at the design and usability of the Playground—and moving company icons around the screen with the flick of a finger. If you’re in the city anytime soon, you should check it out – the Wired Store will be up until December 27th (at 415 West 13th Street).
It’s very gratifying to be associated with these leaders in technology and innovation!
